The Story Behind the Song - Great I Am
The "Great I Am" is one of my favorite
songs because of the lyrical content and the emotion the song brings. It is a song that starts like a calm morning then builds to awesome and overwhelming feeling of reverence.
The song's writer Jared Anderson is best known for his work with New Life Church and the Desperation Band in Colorado Springs. He wrote and performed the worship songs ‘Rescue‘ and ‘Amazed with the Desperation Band. The song "Great I Am" is also part of Jared's solo project named "The Narrow Road".
